The current situation of COVID-19 has had a massive impact on all businesses – and Podiatry services have too been affected.
The latest guidance from The College of Podiatry states we are no longer able to provide routine treatments, until further notice (as of 25/03/2020), and to only treat urgent problems.
Urgent means, if left untreated, the foot problem could be susceptible to ulceration, infection or severe pain. I can also treat an NHS Key Worker, who would be prevented from working if their foot problem was not treated.
I will therefore be contacting all patients who have routine appointments booked with us to cancel. I am very sorry I am having to do this – please understand it is for your safety.
Patients who do attend clinic must not have current symptoms of the virus, or be currently self-isolating due to being in contact with an infected person. Please help us to keep the service as safe for staff and patients alike.
I am reducing the clinic opening hours down to 2 days a week:
- Mondays with Clare
- Wednesdays with Wendy Brooke (associate).
- Fridays will be for home visits, provided by Clare
I look forward to seeing all my regulars again in the hopefully near future.
Keep well and safe
Clare
