If you are looking for employment, whether you are leaving one role and seeking something else, or you are new to the jobs market, then the Abergavenny Jobs Fair is where you need to be. This bi-annual Jobs Fair is held for residents of Abergavenny and the surrounding areas and is hosted in partnership between Monmouthshire County Council’s Economy, Employment and Skills Service and the Department for Work & Pensions.
The Fair takes place in Abergavenny Market Hall on 7th September between 10am and 1pm, so be sure to make it a date in your diary now! There will be employers from a variety of sectors in attendance, representing a comprehensive cross section of industries including care, construction, hospitality, logistics, retail and more. In addition, there will be providers attending who can support with reducing barriers to employment, such as Monmouthshire Housing Association and Career Wales. This year’s previous Jobs Fair was held in March and more than 250 job seekers attended with people able to apply for employment during the fair itself, and employment candidates being matched to suitable roles. Feedback from attending employers included comments such as “a good turnout of people coming into the fair, stopping and interacting, asking questions and applying for our jobs,” and “We found a star candidate!”
