At Taylor & Co we recognise the importance of helping those less fortunate than ourselves and we are proud to be supporters of Tŷ Hafan, our chosen charity.
Tŷ Hafan is a leading Welsh children’s charity which provides comfort, care and support to children with life-limiting conditions, along with their families both at the hospice and within the community too. Through their vibrant hospice and diverse community programmes, they offer families short-break care and help them make the most of the time they have left together; creating precious memories and ensuring a short life is a full life. And when a child is close to the end of their life, Tŷ Hafan becomes a family’s safe haven, by their side during their most difficult time and for as long as they are needed.
Every year Tŷ Hafan take care of over 200 children with life-limiting conditions whilst supporting their families. This is a collective effort as Tŷ Hafan simply couldn’t provide its vital services without the kindness and generosity of the community. To run the hospice and deliver their broad community programmes, they need to raise around £4.5 million each year.
Every donation of time or money helps them continue to provide comfort, care and support to children and their families across Wales. Over the years, our small but committed team have taken part in several activities to raise much needed funds for Tŷ Hafan and our Just Giving page chronicles all the fun that we have in doing so.
However, our ability to take part in sponsored events has become increasingly difficult over the last 22 months as the Covid pandemic has affected our ability to take part in group sports activities, lending a hand packing bags in supermarkets has understandably ended and attending hospitality events with our collection buckets has tailed off too.
We have therefore pledged to donate £100 to Tŷ Hafan on the successful completion of every property sale that we are instructed on from 1st January to the end of December 2022.
