The Abergavenny Action 50+ (AA50+) Group is a volunteer-led local Community Group for people aged 50 and over in Abergavenny and the surrounding villages.

The Group works to improve life for older people aged 50+ and to enable older people to have some choice and control over their lives. It provides a consultative support network for older people and enables individuals to raise issues of concern to them, which will be listened to.
AA50+ informs and influences, local and national decision making, acting as a voice for older people in the Abergavenny area, about local and national issues which affect the ageing population.
The Group organises social events for Members and provides an opportunity for older people to be able to socialise with others in a safe environment. It meets monthly and arranges Speakers for it’s Members’ Monthly meetings on a variety of topics which may affect older people, now and in the future.
Members can use the Members’ Free Book Borrowing Club which is available at the Groups Monthly meetings. The Group also produces its own free newsletter for Members called ‘Chit Chat’
