At Abergavenny Community Centre we understand the value of support groups and, through providing a nurturing environment, we strive to develop the ‘whole village’ approach to raising children.

A number of support groups run sessions at the Centre:

Abergavenny Twin Group

Are you expecting or already a parent to twins? Do you want to meet up with other twin families in Abergavenny and the local area? If so, join the Abergavenny Twin Group for ‘Twins and Slings’ at the Centre, the 2nd Wednesday of every month, 10 – 12noon, £2 per family. Breastfeeding peer support, trained babywearing support, tea and cake.

Community Kids

Community Kids is open to all parents and guardians with children from 0 – 4 years. We meet every Thursday morning during term time, from 10.30am-12noon. We aim to provide a relaxing space for parents to come and enjoy meeting each other, to share a cuppa and build support networks while their children play in a safe and stimulating environment. We have a healthy snack and finish with song-time. All welcome.

Lush Tums

LushTums offers deeply relaxing and nourishing yoga classes for ladies during pregnancy and afterwards throughout Motherhood. We are building a lovely, supportive community of Mamas and Mamas-to-be in and around Abergavenny that is growing by the week. Visit for details, timetable and prices.

NCT group

We’re here to support parents. We give them accurate, impartial information so that they can decide what’s best for their family, and we introduce them to a network of local parents to gain practical and emotional support. NCT vision is of a world in which no parent is isolated and all parents are supported to build a stronger society. The National Childbirth Trust offers Signature antenatal courses from the Centre. For more information on the courses and how to book go to or call 0300 330 0700.

Cylch Ti a Fy y Fenni

Cylch Ti a Fi y Fenni welcomes Welsh speakers, learners or those with no Welsh at all. Come along and play, sing, chat and learn some Cymraeg – mae croeso cynnes i bawb! We meet every Friday during term time, 10-12am. We have a Facebook group if anyone wants to find us.

For more details about each group, visit the What’s On page at Abergavenny Community Centre, The Old School, Park Street, NP7 5YB., 01873 856925 or 07751 666481.
