Bank Holiday Monday (2nd May) saw the return of the Great Abergavenny Bake Off, with over 200 cake lovers enjoying Afternoon Tea, cake decorating demonstrations, children’s workshops and other activities throughout the afternoon at Abergavenny Cricket Club.
One of the highlights of the day came when four brave volunteers offered to try and recreate Andi Silcox’s Humpty Dumpty cake demonstration. Adam Hoyle, Rachel Rees, Sara Morris and Lisa Welsh were tasked with copying Andi’s design in only 30 minutes and they all did a brilliant job, with Andi of Cake and Jam Designs judged Rachel’s to be the eventual winner.
The event was rounded off with a fantastic performance by the Abergavenny SingWithUs Choir before the announcement of the Competition results, which were as follows:

A fantastic total of over £2000 was raised for Cancer Research UK, Sarcoma UK and Tenovus.
