The next event for the Friends of Brecon and District Mind addresses these issues.  Using visual aids and lively examples, psychologist Dr Emily Lovegrove will explain why traditional anti-bullying strategies tend to fail and how the way we look affects what happens. She will demonstrate what actually works.

The aim of the evening is to shed light on what can sometimes feel like an overwhelming topic and give clear, practical and easy ways forward.

Dr Lovegrove was formerly a Research Fellow at the University of the West of England, Bristol, studying bullying issues. She then became anti-bullying consultant for Pembrokeshire County Council. She has written Help! I’m Being Bullied: A Practical Guide for Children and Adults. She lectures internationally and has recently written anti-bullying policy documents for the Welsh Government.
