Between your visits to the many delicious stalls at the Abergavenny Food Festival on 19th and 20th September, why not pause at the United Reformed Church in Castle Street?
You will be stunned by a collection of colourful quilts whose patterns and tints enhance the beautiful chapel windows.
A few of the quilts have been loaned for the occasion but the majority have been made by ‘The Six Quilters’, an Abergavenny based group, who throughout the year make cot and small bed quilts for children with life limiting conditions at the University Hospital of Wales.
This will be the sixth exhibition at the Chapel and the group have also displayed their work at St Mary’s Church on three occasions.
They have raised over £6000 for charities and hope that through kind donations and a sales table, further help can be given to this year’s deserving charity, St David’s Foundation. There is no charge for entry but be prepared to be ‘wowed’!
