Between the 31st of July & 2nd August, Talgarth is hosting its first ever Sports Festival. It aims to promote sport for all, together with encouraging participation to support health and well being.
The various sports and games are aimed to allow everyone the opportunity to compete or try various sporting activities in a congenial and fun atmosphere. Whatever your age or ability please come and share with your friends and family our three days of sport. There will be a picnic area for visitors to use during the day, bring your own food and drinks, or purchase refreshments which will be on sale at our various sports venues.
The T&DRG volunteer team support many events such as our monthly Rural Market, Flix in the Stix, Talgarth in bloom and WW1 commemorative events. These aim to promote, develop further and regenerate Talgarth and district.
We are extremely grateful to our local businesses for advertising in our programme that will be out shortly.The Sports Event has also been made possible with help from, Talgarth Town Council, Brecknock & Radnor Sports Partnership, Sport Wales, Fields in Trust (Have a Field Day), who have provided funding, grants or support which has allowed us to promote all the activities available during the three days completely Free of Charge.
