Rareseed Theatre starts the new year with two contrasting productions – a Willy Russell play and a new work devised by young people and written by Liz Pearce.
Rareseed, a new professionally led Youth Theatre, which is now based at the Melville Theatre, are currently working on Blood Brothers (the play) and Gwelda, a devised piece for 10 – 14 year olds. Both pieces will be performed over four nights at the Melville Theatre from 28th to 31st January 2015.
This will be Rareseed’s second year of operation and they are hoping to develop the work of the company to employ young creative professionals to run educational programmes in schools. The company has increased its membership over the past year and look forward to providing a non- profit making social enterprise that will serve Abergavenny and its surrounding communities in the years to come.
Tickets for performances in January are £8.00 / £6.00 concessions and will be on sale at the Borough Theatre Box Office (01873 850805) and at the Melville at performances.
