Y Cantreff Inn, located almost opposite Nevill Hall Hospital is run by locally born and bred husband and wife Ian and Sheena Andrews.
The pub has a fun and relaxed atmosphere, while the adjoining restaurant offers relaxed, informal and intimate dining. The pub has been refurbished in the last few years and attracts couple and families alike.
Y Cantreff Inn prides itself on offering an honest approach to the food that they serve. They use local produce and serve up high quality, hearty meals that are value for money and realistically priced.
The portions here are large! Take, for example, the Cantreff’s signature ‘Belly Buster’ dish which they believe is the biggest meal around, with over 60ozs of meat per portion! They have a huge choice of dishes on their menu from curries to pies and basket meals starting from just £5. They run specially themed food nights and their ‘proper triple cooked chips’ are a must for anyone.
Ian and Sheena have been working hard over the summer to develop their beer garden area where you customers can relax and enjoy a drink al fresco. While it is still a work in progress, the beer garden is open, and will be in full bloom very soon!

to give you some idea it is £14.99 for 3 courses with mains being siroin of beef, turkey, sole poupettes stuffed with crab and scollops, or a mushroom cranberry and brie wellington.
we are filling up fast and have extended the serving hours to accommodate. But few spaces remain.
