The Kings Arms hotel is a late sixteenth century coaching inn located in the heart of Abergavenny on St James Square. As well as being a popular pub, The Kings Arms also has guest accommodation, a restaurant and a versatile function space. It is managed by husband and wife team Jon and Sacha Child who have a background in hospitality and took over the running of the Kings Arms in 2012.

The Kings Arms manages to combine its rich history with modern décor to create a cosy and relaxed environment. It’s a great spot to enjoy morning coffee, a lazy lunch, evening drinks with friends or a celebration meal. On Friday evenings you can enjoy live music by Jim Ramsey to help you get in the mood for the weekend.

Head Chef Jim Hamilton and second chef Nathan Gething head up the restaurant at the Kings Arms, serving a menu to suit all tastes, focusing on local, fresh and seasonal ingredients. With local beef appearing on the dinner menu, classic club sandwiches and sharing platters for lunch as well as a comprehensive children’s menu, not to mention the Sunday lunches, there is good food for everyone to enjoy.

If you’re planning for the Festive season already, the Kings Arms is offering special menus throughout December, on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. See their website for further information on all the menus on offer including weddings, Birthday parties and banquets.
