Focus Magazines The local magazines for Abergavenny, Crickhowell, Brecon & Talgarth – Events, News and Advertising

As the leaves start to turn and it’s back to school time why not try something new with a creative evening class to make the long nights a little shorter? Arts Alive Wales have released details of their autumn and winter programme of art courses at their studio on Brecon Road, Crickhowell. This season introduces two new evening classes, in Digital Photography and Painting, as well as a variety of classes throughout the week.

AAW’s popular Pottery, Life Drawing and Basket Making courses make a welcome return alongside some new additions including Creative Writing, Cabinet Making and Felt Making. The courses are suitable for complete beginners, as well as those with some experience, and are run by professional, local artists.

Rebecca Spooner, Arts Development Manager, has put the programme together “The autumn season is one our busiest times. People live hectic lives and often our visitors are looking to simply reserve time and space for themselves in a relaxed setting, to have an opportunity to be creative and develop their artistic skills.”

Full details of all AAW’s courses, events and community projects can be found on their website: www.artsalivewales.org.uk
