Arts Alive Wales are challenging us all to try something different in the New Year, with their latest series of creative workshops called The Basics. The workshops will focus on essential skills for adults and young people and take place on Saturday mornings at their studios in The Old School, Brecon Road, Crickhowell.
The workshops are run by professional local artists and offer fun, practical introductions to pottery painting, drawing and printmaking. Arts Alive Wales is a registered charity and has run creative projects for people of all ages and abilities for over twenty years.
Artist, Philip Watkins, says what you can expect from his Drawing workshop on 18th February:
“You’ll explore the basic elements of drawing through exercises that give you the skills and confidence to draw and enjoy discovering your own natural style.”
A three-hour session costs £20, including all the art materials you’ll need. Workshop dates and booking information can be found on the Arts Alive website: www.artsalivewales.org.uk
In addition to The Basics, Arts Alive runs a full programme of courses including life drawing, basket making, a children’s craft club and digital photography. For further details, email: info@artsalivewales.org.uk or tel: 01873 811579.
