Litter Picking Scavenger Hunt in Bailey Park!

We’ll start the morning by learning about the amazing work local volunteers do to keep our town looking fantastic, then get hands-on exploring different types of litter – from plastic bottles and glass jars to crisp packets (all clean and washed). Using litter pickers, we’ll place each item on a giant timeline map to discover how long they take to break down once thrown away.

Next, we’ll head out around Bailey Park to complete our scavenger hunt – searching for different kinds of litter, sorting recycling from rubbish, and checking off items as we go. After our outdoor adventure, we’ll return to the Guide Hall for a well-earned snack and a story.

All equipment is provided, but please wear suitable clothing to stay warm and dry.
