GONG BATH AT THE CHAPEL – Sound Journey with CHYS BLANCHARD

We are approaching the Celtic festival of Samhain (pronounced Sowen), the end of the old year and the start of the new.

We need to make adjustments with winter fast approaching and once we accept the changes a new set of possibilities can be revealed.

Its a time to honour the ancestors, to honour death and celebrate rebirth.

A Gong bath, offers you an opportunity take time out and rest awhile with peaceful healing intent.

For those who hare wondering what a gong bath is, it’s a meditation, the Yoga of Sound.

You bring a comfy mat to lie down on, (or a reclining deckchair if that suits you better, or you can also choose to sit if you prefer. You cover yourself with a blanket and close your eyes and let the sounds drift over you. Flutes, bells, chimes and singing bowls bathe you in waves of sound, until eventually the deep resonant tones of the gongs arrive and take you into a deeper relaxation.

This October the gong bath is on a THURSDAY instead of the usual Friday. There two to choose from on Thursday 26th October, one in the afternoon at 4pm and one in the evening at 7.30pm..

Places need to be booked in advance, either at the Chapel Cafe in Market Street or the Art Shop, in person or by phone. Please note they are only open 10 – 4 from Tuesday to Saturday..
