Ekleido -dance duo – with ‘Splice’ and ‘Rorschach’

Rhayader is set for a spellbinding double bill of electrifying dance this weekend.

Choreographic duo Ekleido – Hannah Ekholm and Faye Stoeser – known for their phenomenal work in contemporary dance and underground club dance scenes – perform at The Lost Arc on Saturday 8 November. 

The club-inspired set features two new original scores by world-renowned electronic musician Floating Points.

The audience will be treated to a spellbinding display of impressive acrobatics, bodily contortions, dazzling costumes and spectacular lights.

Opening the programme is Ekleido’s critically acclaimed Splice in which two dancers find the balance between limitation and possibility to solve a physical puzzle.

Completing the evening is the London premiere of Rorschach, a trio that reimagines the iconic Rorschach inkblot test. 

In this work, we encounter a future society where individuals are subjected to a mandatory Rorschach trial—a journey of self-revelation and survival. Over three intense rounds, participants must confront their psychological endurance, moral compass, and physical limitations.

Ekleido’s work has been performed in venues and festivals including: Sadler’s Wells Breakin’ Convention, Glastonbury Festival, Latitude Festival, The Place, Ministry of Sound Ballet Nights, and Fairfield Halls.
