Crickhowell Walking Festival

Welcome to Crickhowell Walking Festival 2026, booking is now open!

In 2026 there are 84 guided walks at all levels of length and challenge, plus the TM5 Challenge on Table Mountain, which is now an established favourite. There are 15 new walks, 14 linear walks, night walks, dog friendly walks, family walks, variations on familiar themes and some old favourites, plus a fine programme of evening events and two competitions, so there’s something to suit you, whatever your preference.

Most walks have 20 places; some have lower limits to suit the level of challenge. Our linear walks have 14 places as they require bus transport – we add the cost to the walk price, but these walks add a different dimension to the programme.

The website will help you narrow down choices and pick your walks and events easily. When booking, the Walk Grading Guide retains the Boot grades 1-4 and has more detail to help you make informed choices. Please read the Guide carefully as well as the Terms and Conditions and Payment sections.

Please also keep an eye on the Stop Press page in the lead up to the festival for latest news and guidance in response to any changing circumstances such as road and weather conditions.

Finally, we have the usual Photo Competition and the Sole Survivor Distance Challenge for the person walking furthest on Festival walks over the 9 days.
