Abergavenny Film Society Screening: The Invisible Life of Euridice Gusmao
Two sisters growing up in Rio de Janeiro in the 1950s are heartbreakingly separated as teenagers. They go on to spend their lives in the city, each grieving for the other, unaware they are living just a few miles apart. Both are repressed by patriarchal and societal norms yet the film is packed with emotion, colour and the ceaseless vibrancy of city life of Rio.
