Abergavenny Film Society Screening: The Blue Caftan (12A) 122m

The final offering from AFS this season is a gentle Moroccan drama about a couple, Mina and husband Halim, who make and sell traditional caftans in an ancient medina. They employ Youssef, a young apprentice, to keep up with demand. It slowly becomes clear that Halim is attracted to the young man who meanwhile becomes a good friend to Mina as her health deteri0rates. An exploration of love and relationships in a foreign culture.
