Abergavenny Film Society Screening: Love According to Dalva (15)

Dalva is a 12 year old girl home-schooled and isolated at home by her father. Unexpectedly she is forcibly removed from her home and placed into foster care. Here she gradually learns the difference between real love and her father’s abuse, helped by social care staff and other children in the home. Very powerful performances, particularly by Zelda Samson as Dalva, help bring to life the realities of the traumas faced by abused children.
