Abergavenny Film Society Screening: Bangla Surf Girls (86m)

This documentary celebrates the lives of a group of teenage girls growing up in Cox’s Bazaar, Bangladesh. They seek freedom from the poverty, oppression and community judgement dominating their lives. With the help of a dedicated coach, they become their country’s first female surfing team to compete internationally. The girls’ determination, humour and vivacity shine through and make this film a delight.
