…with The Crickhowell Guild of Weavers Spinners and Dyers
With a growing number of members The Crickhowell Guild of Weavers Spinners and Dyers is a vibrant Guild, promoting the crafts and offering beginners weaving and spinning courses.
The Guild meets every Thursday between 10am and 3.30pm at the Arts Alive Centre in Crickhowell and has over 20 members with a range of abilities who encourage, inspire and help each other. With a number of different looms available at the Centre, it’s a great way to share ideas and see what everyone is making .
If you are interested in textile crafts, and feel you would like to tackle something new this year, the Basic Skills in 4 Shaft Weaving course is a great way to get involved. The course takes place on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 February 2017, followed by six consecutive Thursdays, finishing on the 30 March. It will be led by Liz Davies, an expert tutor, assisted by experienced members of the Guild to make sure that everyone has the help they need to get the most out of the course.
The Course costs £200 for eight days of weaving, including the loan of equipment. All materials (apart from those for your final project) will be supplied.
