Focus Magazines The local magazines for Abergavenny, Crickhowell, Brecon & Talgarth – Events, News and Advertising

In March when Covid-19 first became the word on all of our lips, we were advised by Infection Control Nevill Hall to close our shop. The advice was, and still is, that whilst the work of volunteers is so fundamental to the operation of the hospital and is appreciated by both clients and staff, the chance of a volunteer contracting C19 was a problem and could not be ruled out. Although this advice is updated on a regular basis, at time of press, the coffee shop remains closed.

Now that Covid-19 has once again become prevalent, Nevill Hall League of Friends is looking for support from the local community in order to assist those in need and less fortunate than us as a result of Covid-19.

NIGHT ATTIRE and TOILETRIES
The numbers of patients who are suffering from C19 is increasing at Nevill Hall. Many of these patients will be unable to receive visitors as their families are self-isolating. There is a desperate need for night attire and toiletries. We would like to ask you to please have a look through your wardrobes and cabinets to see if there is anything you can find which would be suitable to donate.

WARM WINTER CLOTHING
We are supporting Homeless People in Abergavenny and the wider community of Wales and, as such, we require donations of suitable warm and waterproof clothing to assist those facing harsh and cold conditions during the winter months.

All help and donations will be gratefully received. For more information about how to make a donation, please contact David Spencer on 07831221820 or david.spencer39@btopenwold.com
