This January sees Abergavenny Theatre Group once again take to the Borough Theatre stage with a rip-roaring Frank Vickery comedy.
Set in the Rhondda Valley at an amateur dramatics company’s annual Summer barbeque, “Trivial Pursuits” follows each of the members through the evening as the alcohol flows and disagreements run rife. With a soon to be divorced couple unexpectedly bumping into, a drunken diva having a meltdown and an exposed affair, the barbeque promises to be a night to remember!
This will be the third Vickery that ATG have staged over the last few years; the second under the direction of Andrew Williams who previously directed “Family Planning” in 2018. Society Chairman, Emma Morris, said “We’re delighted to have Andrew direct for us again. The cast have done nothing but laugh throughout the whole rehearsal process so far. We can’t wait to share this hilarious Vickery with the public”.
“Trivial Pursuits” runs from Thursday 30th January to Saturday 1st February at the Borough Theatre, Abergavenny. Tickets can be purchased online at www.boroughtheatreabergavenny.co.uk or from the theatre’s box office on 01873 850805.
