July is looking like a busy month for local live music promoters Woodfired Summit, and what a diverse line up of artists they are bringing to our area. First up is award winning West End and Broadway star John Owen-Jones, perhaps best known for his portrayal of the character Jean Valjean in the ever popular musical Les Miserables, or as the Phantom in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the Opera. Among many other roles in his long and illustrious career.

The Priory centre Abergavenny then sees legendary singer-songwriter Dean Friedman appear on July 25th with his celebrated one man show. Best known for his huge pop hits Lucky Stars, Lydia, Rocking Chair and Ariel, Friedman’s consummate songwriting and performing have earned him a loyal international following devoted to his sophisticated, funny and profound commitment to his craft.

Woodfired Summit present their first annual ‘Summer Ball’ on Saturday July 27th, headlined by 90s indie-pop sensation SPACE. Throughout the mid 90s SPACE hit the top 20 in the UK multiple times with their singles Female of the Species, Neighbourhood, You and me Against the World, Avenging Angels and the unforgettable Ballad of Tom Jones which featured Cerys Matthews.

SPACE appear at The Priory Centre on Saturday July 27th.
