Brecon and District Mind is a mental health charity based in Brecon that also serves the local community through our outreach centres in Crickhowell, Talgarth and Hay-on-Wye.
Our work is about offering 1:1 general advice and support and providing the tools to regain confidence and learn new skills through our volunteering scheme. We can help with any form of employment matters from gaining the skills to find work to maintaining work and providing training and advice to employers on mental health within the workplace. We offer all sorts of support and activity groups such as mindfulness, counselling, gardening, complementary therapies and art groups.
We are fully aware that Christmas can bring all sorts of emotions to the surface caused by loneliness, isolation and all manner of other feelings. Brecon and District Mind is here to support you through our Community Wellbeing team over the Festive period. If things get too much for you why not pop into Ty Croeso between 12.30pm—4.30pm on Christmas Day and Boxing Day for a warming cuppa and chat.
For a number of years Brecon and District Mind have also hosted Christmas Day lunch where members and staff share the preparation, cooking, eating and not forgetting the washing up! in a supportive environment and with good company. If you would like to join us for Christmas lunch please let us know by Monday 18th December in order for us to ensure that no-one is disappointed.
