A volunteer recruitment afternoon was held at Brecon Theatre at the end of March.
The aim is to set up a musical afternoon for older people, those living with dementia including their support workers, with a team of volunteers.All this is being put together by Lynn from Beat It Percussion with a grant from the big lottery.No experience was necessary as training would be given at the beginning of April.Lynn gave a taste of what was to come. This consisted of shaking ‘ eggs’ (plastic ones), banging drums of different shapes and sizes and making music with a variety of other musical instruments.The potential volunteers all left with a smile and were looking forward to sharing their new found ‘fun’ with others.

May 8th, 15th and 22nd
June 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th
September 4th,11th, 18th and 25th.
