Focus Magazines The local magazines for Abergavenny, Crickhowell, Brecon & Talgarth – Events, News and Advertising

On the last Sunday of each month there is a burst of activity outside Llangynidr Village Hall. I am not talking about the youngsters raring to get to football coaching but the folks coming to set up their stalls at Llangynidr Farmers’ and Producers’ Market.

The market, which is held inside the hall, opens 10am – 1pm and has a wide variety of stalls; locally produced meats, cakes, home made ready meals, eggs, butter, cheese, woodturning, hand woven items that you can watch being made, hand made artificial flowers, hand made cards for all occasions, a Fairtrade stall, Holistic Therapies, photographic cards, art works and much more. We have refreshments available and a table (with a cloth) where you can sit and enjoy your tea or coffee along with the cake that you couldn’t resist!!

In August the market moves into the blue striped marquee at Llangynidr Show. There’s a date for your diary – 27 August Llangynidr Show!! This year Bwlch and Crickhowell Young Farmers will be holding a Speed Shearing event at the Show.

Why not combine your trip to the market with a day out in Llangynidr. We have two pubs and a café selling great food. There is easy walking along the canal, our unique bridge, free parking in the car park, a play park for children and, if there is still spare energy, a playing field to run about in! Please be aware that dogs are not allowed into the playing field.
