Focus Magazines The local magazines for Abergavenny, Crickhowell, Brecon & Talgarth – Events, News and Advertising

Sometime in the last century, Jolanda Sidler came into my Abergavenny clinic seeking help with a neck problem. Taking her case history, she told me that she was a massage therapist…

We got to chatting about our respective practices, and discovered common interests such as helping to promote healthy living through CAM (complementary and alternative medicine): nutrition, homeopathy and acupuncture as well as with our own modalities of massage and chiropractic.
She said that she was looking for somewhere to practice in Crickhowell – was I interested in joining forces with her? And so the idea for Bridge Therapies began slowly to take shape. A barn at the end of a track was rejected, as was a one-room office, albeit on the ground floor. Eventually the art gallery down by the bridge was closing down and we thought with a lick of paint and some pictures on the walls, it could make a passable practice room, and with the welcome help of Jolanda’s husband Greg it was transformed.
Eleven years and many hundreds of happy clients later, we now find ourselves installed in the offices next door, with three beautiful practice rooms, seven therapists including two acupuncturists, a nutritionist, a homeopath, and a chiropractor and we are shortly to be joined by a reflexologist. Health and wellbeing is still what we are all about – let us help you keep yours on track!
