Retired or semi-retired from a responsible job? Want to make new friends? A Probus Club may be just what you are looking for.
Abergavenny Isca Probus Club was established in 1979, and is a locally-based association of retired or semi-retired PROfessional and BUSiness people, and others who have had some measure of responsibility in any other field of activity. Both men and women are welcome as members.
At our fortnightly meetings at the Park Hotel, Pandy, club members have recently enjoyed talks on a diverse range of subjects including the history of the Aust-Beachley Ferry, the Turin Shroud, and the Fall and Rise of the Wye Salmon.
The Club holds regular lunches, and other social events include visits to places of interest such as the Swindon Railway Museum and the White Castle Vineyard, as well as an evening of skittles.
