From Wednesday 8th March to Saturday 11th March, the Borough Theatre, Abergavenny sees the return of Concept Players as they bring what is one of the most famous of musicals, Evita to the stage.

This blockbuster musical follows the rise of Eva Duerte from the shackles of poverty tothe highest office in the land. From nothing she becomes the power behind Juan Perón,helping him to become President and dictator of Argentina. Along the way she becomesthe Spiritual Leader of Argentina, an icon in her own lifetime, championing the poor, votes for women but also creating enemies as she accumulates great wealth and power.Originally launching Elaine Paige into public consciousness and made into a film withMadonna and Antonio Banderas, Evita has such hits as Don’t Cry For Me Argentina, On This Night Of A Thousand Stars, Another Suitcase In Another Halland Oh What A Circus! and, not forgetting, the Academy Award-winning song, You Must Love Me.This extraordinary production is brought to you by the multi-award winningConcept Players have  for a long time now made Abergavenny a regular stop on their production tours. Concept Players have just been nominated for Best Performer and Best Production awards by the National Operatic and Dramatic Association for their last 2 productions. They have built a reputation for quality productions with a daring streak and this musical production is a tour de force!

Tickets for the show are £12.00 and performances start at 7:30pm but there is also a Saturday matinee performance at 2:30pm
