We are seeking support for the future of Bailey Park, the need of volunteers to assist in maintaining the towns most valuable asset.
The FRIENDS meet for one hour a week to plant, weed, and care for the Sensory Garden. We also litter pick and keep the Childrens Play Area litter free.
We would welcome volunteers who know their way around computers and websites to enable us to apply for grants to achieve our Wish List, e.g.
- Multi Games Area for teenagers.
- Toilets open on Weekends and School Holidays.
- New Pavilion to include Cafe and Community Facilities.
These are just a few proposals from our growing Wish List to improve and maintain our much admired Heritage.
We need you to help us to protect the park from vandalism and neglect, to guarantee your children, grandchildren and future generations the freedom Bailey Park inspires.
The FRIENDS will host an open evening on Wednesday 16th March 2016. The open evening will be at the Rugby Club at 7pm., the speaker is Owen Wilce on the Valuing of Volunteering. All are Welcome.
Also we are very pleased to announce, that we have been fortunate on securing funding from Tesco Bags Help initiative.
Our project is to erect a Fitness Legacy Zone next to the children`s playground in the Park.
The inspirational range of outdoor of outdoor fitness equipment is aimed at Teenagers to Adults of all ages.
With the help of the people in the town and Tesco`s generous funding. Bailey Park will have an outdoor Gym Facility which will ensure a healthy community for all to enjoy.
