The Friends of Brecon and District Mind are pleased to announce that, after the great success of a previous Ceilidh, they are holding another Ceilidh, this time in Brecon, on Saturday 12th December. Participants should arrive from 7pm for a start at 7.30pm. The Friends are again fortunate to have booked ‘Stray Away’, one of the finest Ceilidh bands around. Everyone is very welcome.
If you’re after a great night’s dancing, the Bishop Bevan Hall in Brecon on 12th December is the place to be. With extensive experience of playing – and dancing at – ceilidhs of every description, Stray Away really know how to throw a good party! With caller Alexa, the band comprises a floating line-up of flute, guitar, fiddle, percussion and whistle. Stray Away play traditional music, favouring Irish and French tunes with a haunting quality, driving beat and buckets of energy.
Please bring some food along to share in the break. There will be a bar.
