Come along to Abergavenny Castle on December 14th from 11-4 for ‘Christmas at the Castle’.

The Castle and Museum will be alive with festive activities, entry to the site is free and there’s something for everyone.

Local school choirs will be singing throughout the day to create a very special Christmas atmosphere, so please give them your support. A Christmas Market will be at the centre of site, providing a great opportunity to purchase original Christmas gifts from a range of local providers. These include wood turned products, woollen blankets, traditional teddy bears, accessories and jewellery. Stalls will be in marquees so as long as you wrap up warm there will be no need to worry about the weather!

We will be serving hot savoury and sweet food, hot and cold drinks and festive treats such as mulled wine and mince pies so you can stay all day and enjoy the atmosphere.

For families with younger children the highlight will be our Christmas trail leading to Father and Mother Christmas in their grotto. Timed tickets will be on sale from 11.00am on the day of the event. This is on a first come first served basis. The cost is £5.00 per child and includes a gift.

There will be plenty of activities for children and their families including face painting and decorating your own ceramics. A small charge will be made for these.

This event is kindly being sponsored and supported by Abergavenny Rotary Club. We are also grateful to many local organisations, community groups and businesses for their help.

The event coincides with the Abergavenny Winter Food Festival so why not make a day of it and visit both sites.

We look forward to seeing you!
(Elements of the program may be subject to change in exceptional circumstances).
