The October issue of the Focus will be entitled ‘Meet the Locals’. This feature is intended to lift the mask of local businesses, allowing our readers to connect a face with a name and learn a little bit more about the people who run or own the local businesses we all use.
The feature has already attracted a lot of attention, with many businesses indicating to us that they wish to be included as part of the feature.
We intend to compile and publish mini profiles on a selected number of businesses. These profiles will be COMPLIMENTARY, providing of course that the business advertises in October’s magazine. If you would like to take advantage of a complimentary profile in our feature, please contact us by 16th September, with ALL of the following info, in order to be considered:
- Name of business and name of business owner/manager
- Photo of the business owner/manager (attached to an email as a jpeg please)
- How long have you run the business?
- Tell us something you love about the area in which we live?
- Tell us something quirky about you – a hobby, an interest, something unexpected.
- Tell us something unique that we may not already know about your business.
We aim to include everyone who responds, but space is always limited and our ability to do so will depend on how many profiles we receive. As this is an excellent way to gain additional exposure for your business (particularly in the run up to the festive season), we expect a big response. In the case that we receive more profiles than we can fit in the magazine, we will select the best, most interesting profiles to be included. We will, however, include ALL profiles on our website.
We’d love it if you were able to offer our readers something as part of our meet the locals feature – a discount or something value added. We appreciate this isn’t always possible, but the inclusion of a reader offer or discount will certainly improve your chances of being selected as one of our business profiles!
