Abergavenny Astronomy Society
Chris North from the School of Physics and Astronomy at Cardiff University will talk about the history and evolution of the Universe, with a focus on the Planck satellite and its latest results. Planck launched in May 2009 and is now at the end of its mission, but the analysis of the data so far has raised some interesting questions. For more information, you can have a look at www.esa.int/planck, scii.esa.int/planck and plancksatellite.org.uk
