Clydach Methodist Church (Main Road, Clydach North) are having an open weekend in July.
On Saturday, July 13th the church will be open from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. for teas, coffees and cakes. Also planned is an exhibition of photos of village life in former times: church/chapel life, school, family history, etc.
If you have any photos or other material that you would be willing to lend, or could help in any other way the Church community will be very pleased to hear from you; Please contact one of the members of the church or phone Abergavenny 737818.
On Sunday July 14th at 10.30 a.m. there will be an anniversary service of worship for all ages.
On Monday July 15th at 7.30 p.m. Mr Frank Olding, Heritage Officer, Blaenau Gwent, will give a lecture entitled ‘ Discovering Clydach’. £2.00 with proceeds to charity.
All are welcome to these events – whether you are Clydach and area born and bred and want to share memories, or whether you are a relative newcomer and want to learn more about its history and community.
