Dance Blast is Monmouthshire’s community dance organisation situated here in the heart of Abergavenny. Based at the beautiful Dance Centre, which opened its doors in October 2011, Dance Blast runs an exciting programme of weekly classes for adults and children. The Centre has two beautiful dance studios equipped with mirrors and ballet barres, as well as a comfortable space to relax and have a cup of coffee and a chat after your class.

danceblast2Whether you are new to dance or have danced all your life, are 1 or 91 years old, Dance Blast has a class to suit you. For adults we have salsa, tap, ballet, ballroom, Zumba, yoga, dance-fit 50+ and dance-fit with creche facility. For children there is tap, creative contemporary, street, boys blast (one for boys only!), musical theatre/jazz, ballet and parent and toddler. The Dance centre is a busy place with over 300 people attending classes every week.

Taking part in dance has a wide range of health benefits including, a fantastic sense of well being, a healthier heart and lungs, stronger muscles and bones, better coordination, agility and flexibility , improved balance, increased physical confidence, improved mental functioning, increased self esteem and, can help reduce weight gain. Most importantly, its GREAT FUN!!!!
