Arts Alive Wales are welcoming visitors to their studio on Brecon Road, Crickhowell for a Summer Open Day on Saturday 2nd June, 10am- 3pm, during the Jubilee bank holiday weekend. The free event is part of this year’s Crickhowell and Area Open Studios and Galleries Art Trail.
The event features a Craft Sale with pottery by Martin Craddock, knitwear by Melissa Warren, baskets by Mary Zammit and prints by Kay Leverton. Free creative workshops and demonstrations will be held throughout the day and refreshments will be served.
Rebecca Spooner, Arts Development Manager, is organising the event: “We’re really excited to be part of this year’s Art Trail. If you’ve never been to Arts Alive before and you’re curious to know a bit more about what we do please come along and see what we have to offer. Arts Alive is a registered charity and 35% of all craft sales on the day will support our community projects.”
Arts Alive is introducing three new courses to their summer programme in June, including Book Making, Digital Photography and Ceramic Mosaic. Full details of the Open Day and all Arts Alive’s events and courses can be found on their website: www.artsalivewales.org.uk
