Wales’ best loved food festival is back! Abergavenny Food Festival returns with a bursting line up, welcoming the best names in the food world to the beautiful market town this September.
Raymond Blanc OBE, Tom Kerridge, Cyrus Todiwala and the Hemsley Sisters are just some of the names set to star.
This year, the party kicks off slightly earlier with the brand new Swing Time at the Castle on the Friday night, an intimate, open-air event on the front lawns of the Abergavenny Castle, with The Zen Hussies and Swing Patrol. This is your chance to dress up, look fabulous and bring your dancing shoes!
Alongside this impressive guest list, the Festival also has some new market offerings for 2015 including the Meat Market; an area dedicated to the very best meat producers from across the UK, with butchers and live demonstrations, and the craft brewery area offering the best in craft beer and cider from Wales and the borders.
Festival favourites return including the Saturday Night Market which will transform Lower Brewery Yard into a magical place to eat, drink and hangout and Party at the Castle, the Festival’s unique evening of music, dancing and food under the enchanted atmosphere of the town’s ancient castle.
Throughout the weekend at the Artisan Kitchen School you’ll get the chance to make products to take away with you guided by experts in artisan food and drink production, while over at the Food Academy, children can get stuck into hands on workshops and activities to tempt the budding mini-master chefs with the chance to win some great prizes.
Starting from just £7 wristband tickets let you stroll the markets with entry into five venues, over 200 food and drink exhibitors, live cookery demonstrations, children’s activities, entertainment, live music and much more.
You can get your wristbands through the Festival website or pick them up from the Borough Theatre in Abergavenny. Residents with NP7 postcode get 10% discount.
Individual events sold separately, head to abergavennyfoodfestival.com to view the full programme.
