NEW YEAR – NEW SKILL?

The Crickhowell Guild of Weavers Spinners and Dyers is a vibrant Guild, promoting textile crafts and offering beginners spinning and weaving courses.

The Guild is running a 4 day spinning course starting over the weekend of 15 and 16 February, followed by Thursdays 20 and 27 February. This course would be suitable for people with some knowledge of spinning but beginners will also be very welcome. The course will cover the preparation of fibre, spinning on a wheel and different plying techniques. The course will be taught by Sarah Stacey, a hugely experienced tutor who teaches with patience and kindness.

The Course costs £120 for 4 days of spinning tuition, including the loan of equipment if you do not have your own spinning wheel. Fibre for spinning will be available at a modest cost. The course will be held at Peak, Crickhowell.
