7th – 15th March 2026

Why not join one of the guided walks at this year’s Crickhowell Walking Festival? The festival takes place next month from 7th to 15th March. Sales of places on this year’s walks are up by 20% on this time last year and 20 walks and the TM5 Challenge (climbing Table Mountain up to five times) are already fully booked but there are still places available each day on a variety of walks and you’ll find lots of choice on our booking website www.crickhowellfestival.com

Crickhowell Walking Festival offers a variety of guided walks and related activities for all ages and fitness levels, focusing on exploring local landscapes, history and nature while connecting people and supporting local economies. There are themed walks, social events and talks, navigation workshops, photo competitions, and unique experiences like a night walk and a labyrinth walk. Our new Family Walk is a great way to introduce children to walking.

Our friendly festival set in the dramatic scenery of Bannau Brycheiniog National Park has over 80 guided walks at all levels of length and challenge priced from £8 per walk. This year there are 10 new walks, 14 linear walks with bus travel included, variations on familiar themes and some old favourites. Whether you are an energetic hiker, a relaxed stroller or an inquiring explorer you’ll easily find walks that suit you, guided by our knowledgeable volunteer walk leaders.

The festival happens thanks to our volunteer organisers, walk leaders, minibus drivers and talk, quiz and workshop presenters. We are also grateful to our business sponsors and local hospitality providers.

We always support CRiC the Crickhowell Resource and Information Centre – a self-funded charity that provides essential information about walking routes and other attractions in the area to the many tourists, visitors and holidaymakers who come to Crickhowell, (www.visitcrickhowell.wales ). The annual Walking Festival generates vital income to keep the centre open.

In addition, at this our 18th festival we will be collecting donations for Velindre Cancer Charity which enhances the lives of cancer patients, carers, and families in Wales through person centred care, innovative projects and services that extend beyond NHS provisions. Please add a donation to your booking.
