Chef Paulo has been at the helm since Autumn 2022 and brings his special touch to the restaurant menu which is authentically Italian and Mediterranean. Here you’ll find mouth-watering dishes ranging from firm favourites such as lasagne and pizza to the very popular seafood pasta dishes, risotto and vast variety of meats.
Paulo’s philosophy when it comes to food is all about a meal being an event to sit down to, relax and fully enjoy, and he is passionate about bringing his Italian hospitality to his clientele. At Amo’s there’s an emphasis on taking your time to enjoy the food, the surroundings, the service, the hospitality and, of course, the company. Here there is no rush. The food is plentiful and the portions are generous but, importantly, they are all prepared from scratch.
Paulo talks animatedly about the importance of making his own bread, his own pasta and taking care with the produce. “I wouldn’t dream of sticking things in the microwave and serving it to my guests,” he declares firmly. “It isn’t my style and it definitely isn’t authentic! Good food takes time.”
The restaurant itself is large and spacious and is perfect for large events such as weddings, anniversaries, birthday celebrations and business meals. There’s a generous private dining area suitable for up to 30 people for special events as well as a children’s play area to keep younger members of your party entertained.
Amo’s are waiting to welcome you with open arms to enjoy their food. Open from Tuesday to Sunday from 12pm-10pm, their evening menu is extensive, and there is a lunch menu for £8.95 per dish between 12pm and 5pm. In the evenings you can choose between a selection of starters or desserts which are included on a complimentary basis with the purchase of every main course meal.
