The Christmas lights in Abergavenny town centre will be switched on Saturday 24th November. There will be lots of elves around the town on that day so why not join in and come dressed up as an elf? There will be a prize for the best dressed elf.
From 4.30pm to 7.00pm there will be entertainment throughout the town with juggling elves, choirs, solo performers as well as market stalls. Many of the shops will also be opening late for people to do a bit of Christmas shopping or have something to eat and drink.
The lights will be switched on from outside the Town Hall at 6.00pm by the Mayor of Abergavenny Councillor Teslin Davies arriving on her sleigh.
The Christmas lights are paid for by Abergavenny Town Council and this event is a joint Town Council and Y Fenni Business Community initiative.
