Focus Magazines The local magazines for Abergavenny, Crickhowell, Brecon & Talgarth – Events, News and Advertising

On November the 5th 2018, the skies above Abergavenny will be alight with colour once more as Abergavenny Round Table celebrates 50 years of its annual firework display. And this year spectators are in for a real treat as it will be the biggest display to date!

The event will be a fantastic night out for all the family to enjoy and all proceeds will go to charities and good causes in the local area. Gates open from 5.30pm and there will be music, food, drinks, stalls, light up toys, a small children’s funfair (weather dependent) and, of course, the professional fireworks display at 7pm sharp.

Chairman of Abergavenny Round Table, Matt Lane, says: “It’s our 50th year at Belgrave Park and we’ve pulled out all the stops to make this the best one yet. We’re taking you back to where it all started in 1968 and spanning through 50 years of music and history!

The display is very high tech, it’s all computer controlled and there’s going to be a few surprises. You definitely don’t want to miss this one!”
There are a few things to note about this year’s display, namely that tickets can only be purchased in advance. To purchase a ticket, you can do so online at www.abergavennyroundtable.co.uk Adults tickets are £6 and children’s tickets are £4.

Car parking will not be available at the event. One side of Belgrave Road, Knoll Road and Cresta Road will be coned off to ensure emergency access is maintained. Nevill Hall has kindly allocated 100 car parking spaces, but organisers suggest that people park in the town car parks and walk to the event.

Here is some other important information to note if you’re planning on attending the display:

  • Flash lighting and flash pyrotechnics will be used throughout the display.
  • No alcohol, weapons, drugs, fireworks or sparklers are permitted in the park. Anyone found to be in possession of these will be removed from the event.
  • No pets, ONLY assistance dogs allowed.
  • Searches by security staff will be taking place. Anyone refusing to be searched will be denied entry and have their tickets cancelled. No refunds will be given.
  • Organisers and staff reserve the right to refuse entry without reason.
  • No refunds will be given unless the event is cancelled by the organisers.
