The popular and festive market, showcasing the locally produced artisan foods, arts and crafts, returns this 3rd December. Last year we were told that it rivalled bath Christmas market, which is a wonderful compliment!
We have increased the stall capacity and more local community and charity groups will be located around the town – so there will really be something for everyone!
Of course our well-loved shops will remain open too, and there will be some extra surprises in store with more choices for food and drink, catering for all tastes and diets, including vegetarians. The Britannia Inn will also be introducing their new mobile bar.
The local school children will again be adding extra sparkle with their lantern parade over the bridge. Once again, the choirs, samba drum workshops and other musical delights will entertain you all evening.
Our VERY special addition is the Roller Disco at the Clarence Hall – dust off your best dance moves and join in the fun (it will run on the 3rd and 4th Dec)! There will be refreshments available here too for when your disco dancing needs an energy boost.
In addition to the Crafts Marquee, which will hold 20 very talented craftsfolk and their work, and the Food Hall, which will host 6 delicious local food producers serving both savoury and sweet dishes, St Edmunds will host community stands and run the popular children’s activities, and of course there will be their famous bell ringing; the Royal British Legion will be outside the library selling bratwurst, their neighbours will be the stand from the Victory Church who will serve mulled wine, and inside our lovely Library there will be a puppet show. CrIC will be running their mulled apple juice bar and creating a very festive atmosphere – as you can see, the whole town will be welcoming you to our magical evening!
The Totally Locally team, a small group of volunteers, together with the Rotary Club who offer us invaluable support, have also been working hard to provide extra parking and lighting facilities, as well as more fun, so we hope you will bring your friends and family for a truly warm and welcoming community event, where you will be able to find all your unique, handmade, festive gifts and foods. The event will be open from 5.30pm on Thursday 3rd December – we look forward to seeing you there.
