Every year, Macmillan Cancer Support holds The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning where they ask people across the UK to hold a coffee morning and raise money for people living with cancer. It is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event and in 2013,154,000 people signed up, raising a record £20 million.
This year you can find the following coffee mornings taking place on 26th September, in support of Macmillan:
Deri View School at 9am – straight after the school run! Tea, coffee, cakes, raffle, sweepstakes. Pop along for a natter, a cuppa and some goodies. If you can’t stay, why not go along and buy some cakes to take away and enjoy later? Cake and raffle donations are welcome; please leave them at the School’s main office.
Surehomes Estate Agent (53 Cross St, Abergavenny) at 10am – 12pm. Go along to the estate agents for a chat and some lovely home made cakes!
St Teilo’s Church (Mardy) will hold their coffee morning a little later, on 11th October between 10am – 12pm. Proceeds will go to Macmillan and Llantilio Pertholey Primary School. The coffee morning is also a great opportunity for people to go along and meet the new vicar – Reverend Julian Gray.
Eat Your Heart Out (23 Frogmore St, Abergavenny) at 9am. All proceeds to Macmillan, everyone welcome. Lots of yummy cakes to enjoy! Help the team raise even more money than last year!
