Christmas should be a joyous time. However, for those who have an elderly or disabled friend or relative the festive season often brings stress and guilt rather than enjoyment. The obligation to ensure that that person is adequately supported over the Christmas period in addition to looking after one’s own family can take much of the joy out of Christmas, leaving people tired, frazzled and short tempered.
Our Home Assist Service aims to provide support for the elderly and less able in a friendly, caring and professional manner. All of our workers are thoroughly vetted and are chosen primarily for their personality, ethos and attitude. There is plenty of time allowed between appointments, so it is never necessary for visits to be cut short in order for the worker to be on time for their next client. We are client driven and our service is delivered in a friendly and professional manner which suits the client rather than the company.
Our aim is for the client and the worker to build and develop a relationship; therefore we do not send a succession of different workers to our clients. We feel that trust can only be achieved through the consistency of having the same worker visit each week, month or fortnight.
We recognise that admitting that you need help can sometimes be difficult; thus we aim to make the experience as friendly and personal as possible. We visit all potential clients in their own homes so that we can talk them through the service, explain how things work and answer any questions which may arise.
We actively encourage relatives to be present at the time of the initial visit. We also appreciate that everyone has the right to consider the pros and cons of our service before making a commitment and are therefore happy to visit more than once should that be necessary.
We guarantee ongoing support and are always available to discuss any problems, issues or concerns which may arise. We will resolve these in the best way possible.
So, say it with diamonds this Christmas……….Diamond Home Support!
