Friday 11th April 2025, Drawing Performance Workshop – with Lucy Algar Upstairs at the Chapel
This One-Day workshop will be led by performance designer/artist Lucy Algar and dancer/choreographer Kirill Burlov. They will create a dynamic space where participants can encounter and enjoy responding through expressive drawing. Drawing is a vital tool for performance designers, not only to communicate their design ideas but also to provoke and interrogate them in collaboration with others. It is also a wonderful way for everyone to connect with their environment and each other. Costumes will be created from the drawings and the workshop will end with a celebratory performance by the dancers.
Participants do not need any previous experience. A desire to connect with others through movement and mark making is all that is needed.
Lucy and Kirill have run these workshops all over the UK and internationally, in China, Prague, Seoul and the Netherlands.
